New Alumni Association Board Members Announced
The University of North Texas Alumni Association Board of Directors is proud to welcome two new members. This dedicated group of volunteer leaders provides counsel to the university and serves as the official liaison between UNT and its graduates. These alumni work to establish and maintain lifelong relationships as university ambassadors in their communities.
Additionally, the Alumni Association welcomed its newly selected executive committee members, with Sterling Guest (โ98) serving as chair, Todd Samuels (โ90) as vice chair, Eva Wilkins (โ98) as secretary, Chuck Forshaw (โ84) as treasurer and Ernest Martinez (โ11) as past chair.

Kim Ciocan (โ15, โ25 M.B.A.)

Once you’re Mean Green, you’re part of something bigger than yourself โ and I’m honored to help strengthen that legacy for years to come.โ
Kim Ciocan (โ15, โ25 M.B.A.) brings more than a decade of experience in the hospitals and health care sector, helping organizations drive growth, strengthen partnerships and deliver long-term value. She serves as manager of strategic account management at Transcarent, where she partners with employers to deliver measurable outcomes through innovative, patient-centered solutions and advance the primary mission of the organization.
A two-time University of North Texas alumna, Ciocan earned a Bachelor of Science in integrated studies in 2015 with concentrations in biology, psychology and family studies and a Master of Business Administration in 2025. She has remained actively engaged with UNT through leadership and service, including serving as a resident assistant during her undergraduate years and, while pursuing her M.B.A., as a senator and chair of planning and development for the Graduate Student Council and was a Student Alumni Ambassador.
She is passionate about mentorship, leadership development and community engagement and is proud to continue serving and supporting the universityโs mission through her role on the UNT Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Brian Hale (โ08)

“My journey as a UNT alum became my motivation to serve the university, and being able to serve on the UNT Alumni Association Board is truly an honor. I am passionate about inspiring our large alumni base across the country to be as vocal and prideful about UNT as I am.”
Brian Hale (โ08) is a proud UNT alumnus, having earned a bachelorโs degree in journalism and public relations. Hale is a communications leader, entrepreneur and lifelong advocate for the Mean Green. He currently serves as the senior communications manager at General Motors Financial, where he leads a team of eight supporting more than 5,000 General Motors dealerships across the U.S. and Canada. Throughout his career, Hale has earned numerous awards, mentored colleagues, partnered with executive leadership and spoken at conferences nationwide. In 2026, he launched his own small business, HaleHouse Consulting.
Hale has mentored UNT students, spoken to UNT classes about career development and served as a volunteer leader with the UNT Alumni Association Tarrant County Network, including two years as president. He has also volunteered through Dinner with a Dozen, Legislative Advocacy Day, alumni events, scholarship fundraising efforts, watch parties and community service projects.
Haleโs passion for UNT extends intoย nearly everyย aspect of his life. Heโs been a football season ticket holder for nine years, regularly attends athletic events, travels across the country to support the Mean Green and strives to be an ambassador for UNT every day.ย
